Itinerary
The Capitoline Hill between the Forum and the Campus Martius, is one of the Seven Hills of Rome. Arguably one of the most beautiful squares in Rome, it was designed in the sixteenth century by Michelangelo
Piazza Venezia is a very large square located in the heart of Rome, dominated by The Vittoriano's Monument (called by the locals "the Wedding Cake"), regarded as a national symbol of Italy and every year it hosts important national celebrations.
Found in one of Rome's "modern squares" the fountain features four water Nymphs (Najadi). In Greek mythology, Naiads are a type of female spirit, presiding over fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of freshwater. At its unveiling, the fountain created quite a scandal due to the perceived lucidius nature of the statues. In the same square, visit the The Basilica of Santa Maria of the Angels and Martyrs: a unique historic site in Rome, built in the 16th century by Michelangelo (who sadly did not live long enough to see the completed structure) and remodeled in the 18th century, situated within the ancient Baths of Diocletian.
Trevi Fountain is largest Baroque fountain in the city and without a doubt, one of the most famous fountains in the world. Roughly €3,000 is thrown into the fountain every day as people follow the tradition of throwing coins over their shoulders. It is said that if you throw a coin into the fountain, you will be assured a return to Rome.
One of Rome's most popular tourist sites, Located in the heart of Rome, this vibrant and elegant square is surrounded by 18th-century buildings. The Spanish Steps are one of the must see places when in Rome and a great example of Roman Baroque Style
The Roman Pantheon is the best preserved building of the ancient Rome. It is a Roman temple dedicated to all the gods of pagan Rome. As the brick stamps on the side of the building reveal it was built and dedicated between A.D 118 and 125. The emperor Hadrian built the Pantheon to replace Augustus Commander Marcus Agrippa’s Pantheon of 27 B.C. which burnt to the ground in 80 A.D.
The genius of Bernini and Borromini, in one of the finest Baroque Masterpiece in papal Rome. With its three majestic fountains, the harmony and colors of the buildings surrounding the Square, which is built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian (1st century AD), and follows the form of the open space of the stadium
Right on the Tiber river on the west Vatican side, Castel Sant'Angelo can be admired at any time of the day from its vast exterior area and from the beautiful Sant'Angelo Bridge.
Saint Peter's Square or Piazza San Pietro is the most famous squares in all of Italy (probably all of the World!!) and is an important gathering place for tourists visiting Rome and Vatican City. Designed by Bernini during the 17th century, it houses over 300,000 people
Enjoy a stunning view of the city from the top of Gianicolo Hill, overlooked by this majestic fountain, better known as "fontanone" (the big fountain) by the Romans. Commissioned by Pope Paul V Borghese, it once traversed 47 kilometers from Lake Bracciano to bring water to the Trastevere district of Rome

About Rome
Rome layers nearly three thousand years of history into one walkable city, from the Colosseum and Forum to Baroque piazzas and Vatican art.
Ancient Rome is still in plain sight. The Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill sit together at the city's heart, the Pantheon still stands with its open oculus, and fragments of temples and aqueducts turn up between apartment blocks. Across the Tiber, Vatican City holds St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Top-ranked sights in Rome: Colosseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel.
