5Excellent
Rain and wind didn't deter all 4 of us from an excellent time, lived in the area for 50 years and have never been out there, it was magical! Our guide was top notch!
5Great way to see Alaska.
On a scale of 1-10........this trip was a 12. Best way to see Alaska up close. Staff was great. Airboat was awesome. Saw seals, eagles, moose. Take this trip!!!!!
5Majesty of Alaska from the deck of an airboat!
Fun and fantastic experience viewing the majesty of Alaska from the perspective of an airboat. Everything was well organized. Tour guides are super knowledgeable and very enjoyable. Great experience! I have never enjoyed an airboat before. Highly recommended.
4Unique experience
We had a nice excursion with Sutherland our driver to and from the boat, and Mike, the boat driver. Both really friendly guys. We were lucky to have a clear sunny and warm day for our boat ride which made it more enjoyable. We saw a lot of seals, a couple of bald eagles and a couple of tundra swans with babies. We were hoping to see more wildlife but you can't control nature! Our itinerary was about an hour drive in a van to the boat (where the driver told us lots of interesting facts about the area), a neat little tank ride across the mud flats out to the boat, a ~2 hour boat ride up the river and back, with a stop included to get out and look at animal tracks and wildflowers (and use the bathroom if needed) and then an hour ride back in the van. On the way back we stopped at a little bakery booth to get some delicious pastries. This is a unique experience that I would recommend as long as you won't be disappointed if you don't see any major wildlife. Mike also provided photos and videos by email the next day at no extra charge, which is very kind of him. One thing to note is it is very loud and you'll be given ear protection, but if you want extra ear protection, bring earplugs as well. Not necessary but nice to have.
5This was such a fun...
This was such a fun experience in Alaska! I've done the Airboats before but Mike was the best driver I've had. It was a smooth ride, he was really good and slowing down do everyone could see the animals and he was fun! Our driver Sutherland was wonderful as well! Great conversationalist, knowledgeable and a safe driver. My husband and I had a great time with everyone!
55-Star Experience That We Hope Won’t Be Our Last!
Let’s just say that this experience “blew” us away on so many levels!! Just the off-roading adventure with Sutherland to get to the airboat was memorable and very informative. Once on board the airboat, Mike, the owner, had a gift for creating a one-of-a-kind experience with great consideration and intentionality. He tailored the trip through the eyes and perspective of someone visiting Alaska for the first time. Despite the fact that he resides in God’s country and this is his daily backdrop, he took time to stop, pull over, and educate us on local wildlife and plants. You could tell he was passionate about the work he did and it wasn’t simply a way to profit from tourists. The family of harbor seals he put us up on was the highlight, and he patiently allowed us to watch, appreciate and photograph them. The icing on the cake was the 360 degree professional go-pro video he captured and gifted us with following the experience!!! This raises the bar and you should no longer be hovering over the “book it” button. DO IT!

About Homer
Homer is a fishing and arts town at the end of the road on Kachemak Bay, Alaska, with a long gravel spit, glaciers across the water and volcanoes beyond.
Homer is the last stop on the road system of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, where the highway reaches Kachemak Bay and the town runs out onto the Spit, a gravel bar about seven kilometres long that holds a harbour, boardwalk shops and the fishing fleet. The town calls itself the halibut fishing capital of the world, and across the bay the Kenai Mountains rise with glaciers hanging from their flanks.
