5Great way to spend several hours !
Fascinating and beautiful hike through the park. Monica was so wonderful as a guide, pointing out unique history and points of attraction. The location and parking were perfect and it allowed us with a short walk to go right from the parking to the park.
5Beautiful Area
This tour/hike/excursion was our favorite part of this trip. The area is almost magical, the weather was wonderful, Monica made the tour/hike extra. She explained why the area is there, all that is available to see, the history is very interesting and makes one thankful that the area is a reserve, it is worth the visit, we will go back to visit other areas of the Point Lobos reserve. She cared about all in the group and their needs. This is a must if coming to Carmel and if your group enjoys nature and beauty.
5Fantastic walk with most knowledgable guide ever.
Monica our guide was super friendly, very knowledgeable and sensitive to our groups needs. E.g. we had a specific time line available, my partner was sensitive to narrow paths and heights all of which were accommodated. Her knowledge of the history of Point Lobos and entire Carmel and Monterey areas was outstanding. We would use her again on any return visit.
5Best of the best!
The Point Lobos tour with Monica was the highlight of our 7-day adventures in Carmel. She is a wealth of knowledge and made it fun. I highly recommend this tour. Beautiful views and Monica is the best.
5Wonderful views
The views were breathtaking. Monica was extremely knowledgeable on the area and history of Point Lobos and was very relaxed. We never felt rushed. We took all the photos we wanted and she offered to take many herself of my husband and I. We saw Sea Otters and a museum half way through our tour. Definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.
5A Remarkable Nature Tour!
This is an absolute must do on a trip to Carmel! Monica was the best guide ever and we had a wonderful time. The views were amazing and she brought her telescope for us to see otters and sea lions. Walking in the nature reserve was lovely and we learned a lot about the area. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

About Monterey & Carmel
Monterey and Carmel share a rugged California peninsula of cypress-lined coast, a famous aquarium, an old Spanish capital and an artists' seaside village.
Monterey stands on the south shore of Monterey Bay in California and was the capital of Alta California under Spain and Mexico. Its historic adobe buildings, including the Custom House, line the old streets near the harbour, while Cannery Row, the former sardine-canning street made famous by John Steinbeck, is now lined with restaurants and shops. The Monterey Bay Aquarium, in a converted cannery, shows the kelp forests and open-sea life of the bay.
