Highlights
Set out on an exciting adventure through Fort Smith! Explore the city’s fascinating past as a frontier military post, its place in the Wild West, and its deep law enforcement roots. Discover the story of Thomas Adams Smith, the city’s namesake—who, ironically, never set foot there. Uncover the destruction caused by Civil War cannons, learn about the legacy of Isaac C. Parker—the infamous “Hanging Judge”—and meet the first Southern woman to cast a vote. Snap a selfie with a cannon, search for a painted varmint, and so much more!
