Itinerary
We will start the tour in the place where it all began. This is the town that was flooded to create the ¨El Peñol reservoir¨
Transition from Old Peñol to New Peñol. We will climb the church tower to see the view of the new town that emerged after the reservoir was built. There we will have a snack from the town "empanadas de iglesia"
We will tell you about the history and visit the most iconic plazas of the town. We will visit the most iconic streets with the most colorful zocalos in the world and learn about their history and origin. ☕️ Café stop and tasting in a local store Then we will walk along the Malecon of Guatapé where we will try a local dessert and walk around to see the local stores.
We will take you to the Piedra de El Peñol, one of the most important landmarks of our area. You will have the chance to climb it and enjoy the beautiful view of the reservoir.
