5Lovely morning!
Brian was amazing! We really enjoyed the wonderful morning walk with him and also the encounter with all the fantastic birds (and other creatures).
5Great guide: almost 37 birds found in Curi Canna
We had a really nice experience with our tour guide Roy. He has a lot of experience and finds & recognizes so many birds. We saw multiple quetzals and bell birds and Roy did his best to spot the toucan. Roy is a reliable guide, definitely recommended!
5Excellent
We had an excellent morning bird watching with Roy in Curi Cancha. He was brilliant at spotting the birds, knowing where to look and even finding better angles to view them from. I was very optimistic in hoping that we might see a Keel-billed Toucan, three wattle bellbird and a Quetzal. I didn't really think it was possible but Roy made it happen! We were so thrilled to see all three along with many other birds too. I would definitely recommend this tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
5Curi Cancha and Guide Roy are a tough combination to beat!
Curi Cancha is a beautiful park to walk with many different trails to explore. Our guide Roy was a pleasure to interact with as he was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. We saw seven different species of hummingbirds, white faced monkeys, and a variety of butterflies. For whatever reason, we saw only a handful of other birds. Just a slow day, which happens sometimes. Overall a wonderful park and we hope to someday get to visit again. Highly recommended!

About Monteverde
Monteverde is a mountain community in Costa Rica's cloud forest, known for misty reserves, hanging bridges, birdlife and coffee farms.
Monteverde is a scattering of farms and small villages on the Tilarán Mountains, around 1,400 metres up, where moist winds from the Caribbean wrap the ridge in cloud. Quaker families from the United States settled here in the 1950s and began dairy farming, and they helped protect the forest above. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and the neighbouring Santa Elena Reserve preserve mossy trees, ferns, orchids and hanging vines.
