  • 5Great tour!

Simona took great care of us and made sure that everybody knew what was going on. Sometimes getting on and off the train was chaotic and she was very attentive to make sure that all of us were good. Cinque Terre was beautiful and we really enjoyed the scenery along with the cute little towns that you visit.

  • 5Cinque Terra with Martina

Our guide Martina was incredibly patient in getting 20 adults on and off trains between the villages. The stations were packed and she was fantastic. She was also very knowledgeable of the areas and best places to stop to eat for snacks and meals.

About La Spezia

La Spezia is a Ligurian port on the Gulf of Poets, with a naval harbour, museums and the main rail gateway to the Cinque Terre villages and Portovenere.

La Spezia lies at the head of a deep gulf on the Ligurian coast, ringed by hills of olive groves and sheltered by a long breakwater. It is an important naval base as well as a commercial port, and a seafront promenade, Passeggiata Morin, runs beside the harbour. The Amedeo Lia Museum holds paintings and medieval works, and the Castello di San Giorgio on a hill above keeps finds from the area.
