  2. Constructed between 1767 and 1771, this site acted as military headquarters in Charleston, as is where three signers of the Declaration of Independence were imprisoned during the Revolutionary War. • 3Walking site tour, but not really a Ghost Tour.

Walking tour, Bars were not aware we were coming and had to wait in line at bar to order own drinks, music was kinda loud and hard to hear what guide was saying. No designated places to sit or stand at each bar. Cool to see Charleston, but "Ghost stories" are a stretch. Some cool background on places but not what we expected. Total tour group was bigger than guide said he liked to do So maybe he was off his game.

About Charleston

Charleston is a South Carolina port city of pastel row houses, cobbled lanes, church steeples, Gullah culture and Lowcountry cooking.

Charleston was settled in 1670 and grew on a peninsula between the Ashley and Cooper rivers, and it is one of the best-preserved colonial-era cities in the United States. Rainbow Row, thirteen pastel Georgian houses on East Bay Street, is the best-known sight. The Battery, a seafront promenade with old cannon and oak-shaded White Point Garden, looks out to Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired in 1861. The city is nicknamed the Holy City for its many church steeples.

Top-ranked sights in Charleston: Charleston City Market, Rainbow Row, Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon.
