  • 5THE Osprey with Captain Bob

My wife and I did the 10am birding trip on October 9th. It was fabulous. Captain Bob was so knowledgeable about the salt marshes and where we would find different birds and because of the tide he changed the route in order to get close to some of the different species. We had done a similar trip with another operator last year but this was so good that my wife (the serious birder) added 12 new species to her list.

  • 5Excellent birding cruise

This was a wonderful birding cruise from Cape May. A perfect time of year in the fall with the migrations. Our boat Captain and his guide were very knowledgeable about birds and knew the spots to find them.

  • 4This was my fifth year...

This was my fifth year for an October boat tour and captain Bob and Patti always provide great bird sightings and share area knowledge. I always learn something new! Thank you! Jane Yates

  • 5Got 14 new birds for my list and had great fun.

Wonderful! Got 14 more “lifers” for my bird list and 9 of them were listed as “unlikely” on Merlin. Captain Bob was wonderful at finding them and he showed concern for them by approaching quietly etc. It was a huge highlight of our birding trip to Cape May. I can’t believe the low price for all we got. We were all having such a great time they even extended the ride a little longer! I’d go again.

  • 3Request for more than 25% tip

See Road8777 below and Capt’s response which contains many inaccuracies. I recognize that most people give a five star review and I don’t doubt them. Perhaps it was an off day, but the request for an additional tip was the icing on the cake.

About Cape May

Cape May is a Victorian seaside resort at the southern tip of New Jersey, with painted wooden houses, a lighthouse, wide beaches and famed bird migrations.

Cape May sits at the southern end of New Jersey, where Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic, and is one of the oldest seaside resorts in the United States. A fire in 1878 swept the town and it was rebuilt in a Victorian style, so that hundreds of painted wooden houses with gingerbread trim, towers and wraparound porches now give the whole town the status of a National Historic Landmark. The Washington Street Mall is a pedestrian street of shops and cafés.
