Highlights

The bioluminescence tour begins at 5 p.m. at Curú Beach, from there we depart on a motor boat on a 15-minute trip to the Tortuga Islands to enjoy a white sand beach without other tourists from other tour companies. We share a snack of fruits and soft drinks while watching the sunset and the turquoise sea. We have offered a quality tour since 2000. We are direct descendants of the founder of the Curú Wildlife Refuge. We invest in a conservation and management project of the different ecosystems within Curú and in the Paquera Responsible Fishing Area. Clients can arrive to Curú early in the afternoon to enjoy nature and wild animals within Curú, you can enjoy monkeys, deer, coatis, iguanas and other wild animals. About Puntarenas

Puntarenas is a Pacific port on a narrow sandspit in the Gulf of Nicoya, with a seaside promenade, a cruise dock and ferries to the Nicoya Peninsula.

Puntarenas stretches along a sandspit about five kilometres long that pokes into the Gulf of Nicoya, with the sea on one side and an estuary on the other. In the 19th century it was Costa Rica's main Pacific port, when coffee from the Central Valley was carted down to be shipped abroad. Today a long seafront promenade, the Paseo de los Turistas, runs along the beach, and cruise ships call at the dock.
