Highlights
What if I told you that most travelers who visit Bern only scratch the surface of this city? Juan Pablo was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. He created a very warm connection with each one in the group. The tour gave us a taste of the charm and history of the old city as well as giving us a broader understanding of what Bern represents for the Swiss.

Bern is lovely and this is a great tour to take to get to know the ins and outs of the old town. There were multiple recommendations about restaurants and chocolate shops and we got to see real life bears.

About Bern
Bern, the Swiss federal city, is a medieval old town on a bend of the Aare River, with arcaded streets, a clock tower and a park of bears.
Bern's old town sits on a narrow peninsula in a tight loop of the Aare River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of sandstone houses with long covered arcades that shelter shops and cafés along the main streets. The Zytglogge, a medieval clock tower with an astronomical clock, puts on a show of moving figures before the hour. The Gothic Minster has the tallest spire of any church in Switzerland, and the city is the seat of the federal government.
Top-ranked sights in Bern: Kleine Scheidegg, Bern Clock Tower (Zytglogge), Bern Cathedral (Bern Minster).
