  • 5An Unforgettable Ketchikan Experience!

We had an incredible 3-hour custom driving tour of Ketchikan with Briggs, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide! Briggs was incredibly knowledgeable about the rich history of the city and provided wonderful insights into the Native culture and heritage of the area. To top it all off, He helped us spot amazing local wildlife—we saw salmon, eagles, and even a bear! It was a seamless, informative, and memorable highlight of our trip. Highly recommend Briggs to anyone visiting Ketchikan!

  • 1Would not recommend....

Would not recommend. Advised our group’s group priority was to see wildlife. In 3 hours, we were taken twice to a local creek 5 minutes from the boat and only saw ducks and one eagle. Then taken to a small waterfall 2 minutes further down the road and spent 30 minites there. Then spent another 30 minutes looking at an eagle nest next to town with no eagles in it. Then last hour spent in town at Creek St - where we were being dropped off anyway and did not require a tour to attend. We saw no bears (which I understand is not always possible) but people walking straight from the boat saw them without any tours in creek street and others on tours from the ship where taken out of town and saw plenty of bears.

Michael did an exceptional job as our tour guide. From being on time and communicating prior to our pick up to showing us around Ketchikan. We really enjoyed the experience.

  • 5Great Value

Shad was a great guide. He was personal and informative and waiting right outside our ship - so very easy to find. We saw bears, a waterfall, and learned about the salmon life cycle on a private tour. Made us want to come back to Ketchikan and stay for a week.

  • 5Hannah texted me with...

Hannah texted me with instructions on where to meet and met us promptly at the designated spot. She tried really hard to find us a bear but unfortunately the bears weren't cooperating. She was very accommodating to our group and went above and beyond.

About Ketchikan

Ketchikan, in the Alaska Panhandle, is a rainy fishing town of stilted boardwalks and totem poles, set among the forests and fjords of the Inside Passage.

Ketchikan clings to the shore of Revillagigedo Island in Southeast Alaska, squeezed between steep forested hills and the water of the Inside Passage. Houses and boardwalks stand on stilts above Ketchikan Creek, where Creek Street, a lane of old buildings on pilings, once formed the red-light district. The town calls itself the salmon capital of the world, and the creek fills with spawning salmon in late summer.

Top-ranked sights in Ketchikan: Tongass National Forest, Creek Street, Saxman Native Village.
