5Cooking class Mendoza
We had an incredible evening with David and Rosie in Mendoza. During the quieter tourist season, it felt like a private class with our own chef. The evening kicked off with two fantastic cocktails, followed by making two types of empanadas, a perfectly cooked steak with amazing chimichurri, and finishing with a traditional Argentine dessert with dulce de leche. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentic. But what really made it special was David and Rosie themselves. They made us feel incredibly welcome, and conversation flowed easily through the night, covering everything from travel to local culture. It felt less like a class and more like spending the evening with friends.
5Wonderful experience cooking authentic Argentinian dishes and drinking local favorites!
We had a great time cooking with David and Rosi! We enjoyed two favorite local cocktails and a wonderful Malbec while we made three different kinds of empanadas with multiple folding techniques. The beef empanadas were really flavorful, and we loved the empanada caprese “baskets“. The provoleto was a nice addition. The wine and herb marinated steak was really tender, and we put together an amazing chimichurri sauce.! All the dishes were a hit with my family! All of this we did with full active participation in a really warm atmosphere. It was a wonderful evening and we would definitely cook with them again! You won’t be disappointed.
5Fantastic activity for the whole family
A wonderful time! Siblings sharing their family recipes in a warm, welcoming home! Two parents, grandparent and teens had a great experience with David and Rosie.
5Eat like a local
Great "Cook and eat like a local" experience. Fantastic guide.
5A Highlight of Our Mendoza Holiday
A wonderful, fun-filled evening spent with the lovely David and Rosie. Thank you for your warm and welcoming hospitality — and, of course, the delicious food! Such a lovely experience to add to your “must-do” list in Mendoza. We can’t wait to try the recipes David sent us!
5Great local experience
It felt incredibly authentic, like being invited into a friend’s kitchen rather than a tourist attraction. We had the best time learning to cook and the food was delicious, and David spoke perfect English, which made learning the techniques much easier.

About Mendoza
Mendoza is a wine city of tree-lined avenues and irrigation channels on a dry plain, with the high Andes rising to the west.
Mendoza was largely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1861, which is why its streets are wide and its squares open. Plane trees shade the pavements, watered by old irrigation channels called acequias. Plaza Independencia sits at the centre with four smaller squares around it, and the great Parque General San Martín climbs to the Cerro de la Gloria, a monument with a view over the city.
Top-ranked sights in Mendoza: Puente del Inca (Inca Bridge), Uspallata, Aconcagua Provincial Park.
