In evidenza

Get ready to embrace the magic of Argentinian cuisine in a warm, friendly setting—where every stir, chop, and simmer adds up to an unforgettable evening filled with connections you won’t find in any restaurant in Mendoza. Here, you’ll learn to cook 7 food recipes centered around the flavors of Argentina, all while sipping on top-rated wine. We’ll meet up at my apartment, nibble on local snacks and sip on Vermuth cocktails, and get to cooking! Class will run for about 3 hours and consist of cooking, socializing, eating, and honestly probably some spills and laughs! We’ll cook and eat 7 items that consist of 2 appetizers, 1 main, 1 side, 1 dessert, and all-you-care to drink wine from a nearby winery where I work as sommelier( we also have non-alcoholic drinks if needed). Once class is over, you can all branch off into the rest of your incredible evening in Mendoza with a full belly and possibly some new friends to explore with!

  • 5Cooking class Mendoza

We had an incredible evening with David and Rosie in Mendoza. During the quieter tourist season, it felt like a private class with our own chef. The evening kicked off with two fantastic cocktails, followed by making two types of empanadas, a perfectly cooked steak with amazing chimichurri, and finishing with a traditional Argentine dessert with dulce de leche. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentic. But what really made it special was David and Rosie themselves. They made us feel incredibly welcome, and conversation flowed easily through the night, covering everything from travel to local culture. It felt less like a class and more like spending the evening with friends.

  • 5Wonderful experience cooking authentic Argentinian dishes and drinking local favorites!

We had a great time cooking with David and Rosi! We enjoyed two favorite local cocktails and a wonderful Malbec while we made three different kinds of empanadas with multiple folding techniques. The beef empanadas were really flavorful, and we loved the empanada caprese “baskets“. The provoleto was a nice addition. The wine and herb marinated steak was really tender, and we put together an amazing chimichurri sauce.! All the dishes were a hit with my family! All of this we did with full active participation in a really warm atmosphere. It was a wonderful evening and we would definitely cook with them again! You won’t be disappointed.

  • 5Great local experience

It felt incredibly authentic, like being invited into a friend’s kitchen rather than a tourist attraction. We had the best time learning to cook and the food was delicious, and David spoke perfect English, which made learning the techniques much easier.

About Mendoza

Mendoza is a wine city of tree-lined avenues and irrigation channels on a dry plain, with the high Andes rising to the west.

Mendoza was largely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1861, which is why its streets are wide and its squares open. Plane trees shade the pavements, watered by old irrigation channels called acequias. Plaza Independencia sits at the centre with four smaller squares around it, and the great Parque General San Martín climbs to the Cerro de la Gloria, a monument with a view over the city.

Top-ranked sights in Mendoza: Puente del Inca (Inca Bridge), Uspallata, Aconcagua Provincial Park.
