  Excellent experience, one of my favourite ever hiking trips. Cultured guide with great stories, poems and good knowledge of the place/history. I spent 3 days in the mountains, everything was well organized, food was incredible, choice of itenary and routes was excellent as well.

• 5A wonderful Hike on our Honeymoon!

  A fantastic few days hiking with Ahmed and his team. We were on our honeymoon and looking for the perfect alternative experience to combine with our itinerary of the pyramids and the coast. This hike was what we were seeking. Ahmed was communicated with us beforehand, proving support and information about the equipment we would need and even helped out with the bits we didn't have. The group was great fun and we had a great time hiking with them. The team also made sure we could all walk to our pace and the group had great cohesion. Must mention the food, cooked fresh each day as we stopped for lunch in the middle of our hike. Recommended this to all. 3 days did us well. • 5Incredible experience with the Bedouin of St Catherine

  Truly one of the best trips of my life. Ahmed and the rest of our Bedouin hosts were the most welcoming people and the experience of spending time off-grid in the mountains around St Catherine was unforgettable. It’s an incredibly beautiful hiking area and Ahmed uses trails where you’re unlikely to see other people - we had the mountains pretty much to ourselves the whole time. Camping in the Bedouin gardens was a particular highlight, as was sitting around the campfire each night learning about the Bedouin way of life and the jebeleya tribe’s connection to the mountains. By the end of our 3-4 days in the mountains, I’d never felt so relaxed. I also really appreciated this tour company’s ‘leave no trace’ sustainability principles. Logistics were very smooth and all trip organisation was handled very professionally.

• 5wonderful 3-day trek with my children

  I returned a few days ago from a wonderful 3-day trek with my children Andrea and Tancredi (aged 7 and 11). Hamed, Hussain and the boys who carried our equipment on dromedaries are wonderful people. Hamed is an exceptional guide who knows the Sinai mountains like the back of his hand. His stories reveal his deep love for these mountains. I am a great lover of plants and I loved his explanations about the plants we found along the way. Reaching the summit of Mount Saint Catherine on a 3-day trek is the most beautiful experience you can have in the Sinai Mountains, both for the wonderful landscapes you will see and because you will most likely not meet anyone else, as happened to us! We were completely alone and disconnected from the world! Just nature and beautiful human relationships. It is a fairly challenging trek, not for everyone. You need to be fit and used to walking many kilometres on various types of trails. For us, it was very enjoyable because we live in the mountains and love walking. My children could have walked for another week! We will be back soon, ciao Hamed!

  Thank you, Ahmed, for 7 unforgettable days in Sinai! You and your team made the journey truly special. Everything was well organized, and the nature around us was absolutely stunning. We really appreciated your knowledge and the way you shared stories about the local culture, history, and nature. It was both interesting and inspiring. Your English is very good, which made communication easy and enjoyable. We were two friends traveling together, and you adapted the trip perfectly to our pace and wishes. We felt safe, welcome, and very well taken care of. The food was also excellent – local, fresh, and full of flavor. It added a lot to the experience. Highly recommended!

  I had the absolute privilege of joining the 3-day hiking and camping trip in the Sinai Mountains, guided by the incredible Ahmed Mousa from the Jebaliya tribe. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and beyond expectations. Ahmed is not just a guide – he is a walking encyclopedia of Sinai’s mountains, valleys, plants, and Bedouin traditions. His deep knowledge, combined with his warm generosity and care for every single detail, made the experience truly unforgettable. The logistics were seamless: camels carrying our gear, delicious Bedouin meals cooked over fire, and comfortable campsites under a million stars. Highlights included reaching the summit of Mount Abbas Basha, the breathtaking panoramic views from Mount Na’ga, meeting locals like Um Saad and Dr. Ahmed Mansour, and the cultural visits to St. Catherine Monastery and traditional Bedouin handicrafts. Each day felt like a beautiful blend of nature, culture, and history. What impressed me most was Ahmed’s balance between professionalism and hospitality – he always ensured our safety, adjusted the pace to suit everyone, and still managed to share fascinating stories that made the trails come alive. About Saint Catherine

Saint Catherine is a high mountain village in southern Sinai, home to an ancient monastery below Mount Sinai and the tallest peaks in Egypt.

Saint Catherine lies at about 1,500 metres among bare granite mountains in the south of the Sinai Peninsula, inland from the Red Sea resort of Dahab. Its monastery, founded in the 6th century at the foot of Mount Sinai, is one of the oldest Christian monasteries still in use and is listed by UNESCO. Its high walls enclose a basilica, a small mosque, a library of ancient manuscripts and a bush said to be the burning bush of the Bible.
