Highlights
Experience our beautiful motu in comfort as we take you on an unforgettable tour. Our spacious 4WD whisks you away to the stunning and less-accessible parts of the island that some tours don't go. The Waiheke Island Experience includes breathtaking vistas across the Hauraki Gulf, beautiful beaches and some of the best venues the island has to offer. We can discuss options with you to ensure you get to do what interests you most. Our 4WD vehicle is ideal for couples or small groups (max 4 people) and we happily take children if you can provide any vehicle safety equipment they may need. The tour starts at 10.45 am and ends at 3.45 pm unless otherwise arranged. Note: tours are customised for each group and venues are subject to availability. Itinerary
We like to be flexible and give our guests ownership of their tour so if you wish to swap out any of the stops below for another venue, we are open to that and are happy to discuss either prior to, or on the day of, your tour. Stop times are estimated so there may be options to add an extra venue if we are running early.
Scenic drive to Onetangi passing through Oneroa village and a short stop at Palm Beach.
No visit to Waiheke would be complete without a visit to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. With views of Great Barrier and Little Barrier Island in the distance, Onetangi Bay has over 1.5 km of beautiful golden sand and we encourage you to take a stroll on the beach here - or even maybe a quick swim!
An exciting and scenic drive through Waiheke's farmland takes us to Man O’War vineyards where the tasting room is set back from the beach in beautiful shaded surroundings and offers a range of food and wine tasting experiences. Established in 1993, Man O’ War consists of 150 acres of vines planted in 76 individual hillside blocks. Lunch and wine tasting are available here if you wish, whilst soaking up the views over the bay to the Coromandel coastline surrounded by Pohutakawa trees.
To continue our journey, there is an option to stop at Waiheke Distilling Co for a boutique spirit tasting with truly spectacular views across the Hauraki Gulf to the outer islands and Coromandel Peninsula - and perhaps a cheeky cheeseboard!
Mudbrick Vineyard is world-renowned for its award-winning wines, restaurant, and Italian-inspired rustic gardens looking back towards the spectacular Auckland skyline. A wonderful place to end your Waiheke Island tour.
We may have time before dropping you back to the ferry or your accommodation to explore the selection of interesting stores, galleries and cafes along the main street in Oneroa Village. Enjoy a coffee with a view or cool down with a delicious Island Gelato, one of our favourites.

About Waiheke Island
Waiheke Island is a green, hilly island in the Hauraki Gulf east of Auckland, known for vineyards and olive groves, sandy beaches and sculpture.
Waiheke Island lies in the Hauraki Gulf, east of Auckland, and its rolling hills are covered in pasture, bush and vineyards. The main village, Oneroa, has cafés and shops above a sheltered bay, and the long, curving sands of Onetangi Beach run below the northern hills. The island's vineyards grow Bordeaux-style reds and syrah in its sunny, mild climate, and many have restaurants with views across the gulf.
