  • 5Incredible!!!

What an incredible experience at the Rock Adventure Boat! From start to finish, the entire team went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, but what truly set this experience apart was the people. Every member of the team was genuinely warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. They made everyone feel comfortable, included, and well looked after from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble! You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in creating memorable experiences. If you’re considering a tour with the Rock Adventure Boat Tours, don’t hesitate, you’ll be treated like family and leave with amazing memories. Highly recommended!

  • 5Awesome active adventure cruise in stunning location !

Amazing experience ! I’ll never forget the night time swim in the phosphorescence 🤩 The whole trip was such fun and the crew are just so positive and helpful. Operators were easy to get hold of and the whole thing ran smoothly and as described. I’d stay on board for a month if I could !! Can’t recommended this trip enough 😊

  • 5Best thing we did in NZ

Simply the best. Too cool for school. Outstanding experience, and only wished it lasted for days - not only one night. From the comraderie with all the crew and fellow guests, to the incredible sites and amazing experiences, this is an adventure that must not be missed. Truly one of a kind.

  • 5Pleasant cruise

Great experience and friendly staff that took their time to explain and throw in some information about the Bay of Islands. Food was great and there were a good amount of social activities and within a good time schedule.

  • 4good night out

Fun trip all the way - night kayaking, morning snorkel, island walk, fishing and a friendly, fun crew who were enthusiastic and helpful. Food was great and the toilets and showers worked well. Overall it was a great night out on the boat with the crew going out of their way to ensure everyone was having a good time. Good value for money, just pack a small overnight bag and away you go!

  • 5Great experience!

This trip is 100% worth the money. Fun activities, a lovely crew, great food and a really chill atmosphere. Not as rushed as other touristic adventures. And you get to do night kayaking and swim in bioluminescent plankton! It felt like being surrounded by fairy dust – just pure magic :) Don't mistake this for a Hole in the Rock sightseeing tour, even though the name is very similar. It's way better!

About Bay of Islands

The Bay of Islands is a sheltered bay in New Zealand's far north, dotted with islands and historic settlements, where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed.

The Bay of Islands lies on the north-east coast of New Zealand's North Island, a drowned valley of more than 140 islands and sheltered inlets. Paihia, on the western shore, is the main base. At Waitangi, the Treaty Grounds mark the place where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840, with a carved meeting house and a huge ceremonial war canoe. Across the water, Russell, once a rowdy whaling port, has New Zealand's oldest surviving church, built in 1836.

Top-ranked sights in Bay of Islands: Waitangi, Haruru Falls, Cape Reinga.
