Today, fourth-generation Willie Joubert upholds the proud family tradition of harnessing the rich potential of the land with a dedicated commitment to quality. About Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch, in the Western Cape, is a university town of oak-lined streets and Cape Dutch buildings, at the centre of South Africa's wine country.

Stellenbosch is the second-oldest European settlement in South Africa, founded in 1679 by Simon van der Stel, then governor of the Cape, who named it partly after himself. Its oak-shaded streets are lined with whitewashed Cape Dutch houses, and Dorp Street has some of the best preserved. The university gives the town a youthful air, while the Village Museum has restored houses from different periods.

Top-ranked sights in Stellenbosch: Delaire Graff Estate, Spier Wine Farm, Waterford Estate.
