  • 5A joyful day with Joo-Ee!

Fantastic day and fantastic experience with the lovely Joo-Ee. So much history, knowledge and beautiful scenery to soak up on this tour. It’s a long day with lots of walking (with hills) so be prepared but it’s absolutely worth it. The DMZ tunnel is not as bad as we thought it would be, the walk back up will get your heart pumping but seats to have a rest. Joo-Ee gave everyone lots of opportunities to opt out. There is so much to see and do and opportunities to have some time out away from crowds and soak up the atmosphere. There are strict timeframes but that’s fine and everyone in the group was respectful of that. The suspension bridge is amazing and well worth the walk up and over. Highly recommend this small group tour. So well organised and Joo-Ee was a superb tour guide, loved her humour and energy. Thank you for a very memorable day.

  • 5DMZ TOUR WITH JOO-EE Awesome

The tour with our guide Joo-Ee was exceptional we had such a good time. She made the entire trip so good. She explained everything we were seeing in great detail and was funny with it. The DMZ is very interesting, the 3rd Tunnel is great but be warned the walk back will test your metal as it’s very steep but well worth it. The look out over North Korea is very cool especially when you know the back ground, Joo-Ee tells you all about it. The suspension bridge and Gel Soft are fun. The suspension bridge does require a 1km hike up a steep hill so be prepared for extra walking. Well worth the walk though. Our family and Friends had such a good day, even our 13 and 14 year old kids loved it. I can highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to have a great day. Be prepared for a lot of walking and it is a long day but worth every minute. If you get Joo-Ee as your guide that will make the day even better. • 5Spectacular tour

Amazing amazing experience. The whole tour was well organised, there was plenty of time at every spot. The guide Joo-Ee is very organised, funny and is full of amazing facts. One of the best guides I have come across. The communication of pick up and drop off was very clear and everything was very punctual. Special mention to the driver, who drove very smoothly.

  • 5DMZ from a Canadian perspective

Leaving early morning by 6 am for DMZ is best to avoid traffic and get earlier access to tunnels and area. The small group tour is best as you get more direct conversation with guide and no large group to follow. The vehicle used by our guide Vincente was Tommy and had air conditioning. A very comfortable ride sspecially appreciated on the way back to Seoul. The suspension bridge is a short but hilly and steep climb so not for those who are mobility impaired or in average health. The Buddhist temple view of the bridge is worth the hike but we only had limited minutes so I had to run the steep terrain to get there and back. As traffic in afternoon in Seoul is quite congested being in the small group meant more direct stops for drop off which was appreciated.

  • 5Joo-Ee is amazing!!!

I cannot recommend this experience enough! Joo Ee was the best tour guide I could have possibly asked for! She was friendly, funny, and so clear in delivering the information to us. She was incredibly thoughtful, having us get there early to get the first time slot into the DMZ. She even brought binoculars for us to use at the Observatory. Every step of the way, she provided the best possible experience! As an aside, the bus driver was far and away the smoothest ride we’ve experienced in Seoul. If you are interested in touring the DMZ, I 100% endorse Joo Ee and her tour.

About Seoul

Royal palaces and hanok villages sit among glass towers, buzzing markets and late-night food streets in Seoul, South Korea's capital.

Five grand palaces from the Joseon dynasty grace the city, led by Gyeongbokgung, with its colourful changing of the guard, and Changdeokgung, whose Secret Garden is a serene escape. Between them, Bukchon Hanok Village preserves traditional tiled-roof houses on sloping lanes, and Insadong is known for tea houses, galleries and crafts.
