About Dordrecht
Dordrecht, on islands where rivers meet south-east of Rotterdam, is among the oldest towns in the Netherlands, with harbours and a leaning church tower.
Dordrecht received its town charter in 1220 and grew rich as a toll and trading port where several rivers meet.
