Itinerary
After pick-up at your hotel in El Calafate, you will go on an scenic drive to Los Glaciares National Park. Enjoy the landscapes during the drive: You will border the southern shore of 'Argentine Lake' and cross the Patagonian steppe. On the way, take some pictures at the 'Curve of Sighs', and you will discover the meaning of its name...
Los Glaciares National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 when its almost 200 glaciers were discovered. Half of the park is occupied by the Patagonian ice field, the second-largest ice field after Antarctica. Upon arrival at the National Park, you will purchase your entrance tickets.
Following up, your guide will explain the different walkways of the park so that you can tour them according to your interest. The walkways will allow you to access the viewing balconies that showcase the glacier from different angles. Enjoy this incredible natural show! You will be amazed not only by the impressive glacier but also by the typical tree vegetation of the Andean Patagonian forest. You will go to the main balcony and then walk freely on the walkways until the meeting time agreed with the guide. The duration of this step may vary depending on weather conditions. For lunchtime, the National Park offers a service area with a restaurant and a snack bar (lunch not included)
If you choose the "including Boat Safari" option, you will take a 1-hour boat ride through Rico Branch of Lago Argentino, to get a different perspective of this impressive glacier. Sail along the massive glacier wall and in between floating icebergs. Watch closely to see pieces of ice detach from the glacier and slide into the surrounding lake!
After exploring the park, relax on the returning drive to El Calafate, where your full-day tour will conclude in the early evening, at approximately 5 p.m. **Schedules and the order of the visited attractions / activities may vary, according to the guide's evaluation, weather and the characteristics of the group.

5What a great day
Amazing day we had clear views in the morning then snow after lunch
5Wonderful
This experience is wonderful. It starts around 9am where I was picked up at my hotel and then we hit the road. The tour starts with a couple of stops to take pictures from the road and then you'll board the boat to the glaciers. They navigate for about an hour and get close enough to the icebergs. After that you can walk around the trails and have lunch. This place is breathtaking and worth it. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. They even have ramps for wheelchairs.
5Magical
The glacier has left me with a lasting impression of the day I couldn’t stop to look at it as it was surreal to look at! So big and beautiful and the colours were amazing!
5I must do experience

About El Calafate
El Calafate is a small Patagonian town on the shore of Lago Argentino, the base for the Perito Moreno Glacier and Los Glaciares National Park.
El Calafate lies on the south shore of Lago Argentino, a milky turquoise lake fed by glacial meltwater, with the Andes on the western horizon. The town is named after the calafate, a thorny shrub with dark berries, and a local saying promises that anyone who eats them will return to Patagonia. It was founded in the 1920s to serve the surrounding sheep estancias and now exists chiefly as the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park.
Top-ranked sights in El Calafate: Los Glaciares National Park (Parque Nacional Los Glaciares), Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentino Lake (Lago Argentino).
