Itinerary

  1. Step aboard our magnificent three deck catamarans, and enjoy a scenic cruise along spectacular Milford Sound. Get up close and personal with the fiord's towering mountains, sheer cliffs and hanging valleys as the boat hugs the edges of the fiord throughout the two hour cruise. Feel the spray from the waterfalls that cascade from an ancient rainforest high in the mountains and look out for New Zealand fur seal colonies and occasionally dolphins swimming nearby. The cruise goes the full length of the fiord to the Tasman Sea and return down the opposite side. During the exploration you will pass iconic landmarks such as Bowen Falls, Mitre Peak, Copper Point, Fairy Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Dale Point, Seal Rock and of course Stirling Falls.

  • 5A breathtaking scenic cruise

A beautiful scenic cruise along the breathtaking mountains and waterfalls. You have a chance of coming close to the waterfall too.

  • 5What a great experience!...

What a great experience! The staff were professional, friendly, and welcoming. They even took the time to walk around, help families take photos, and chat with travellers. Their sense of humour during the briefing made the experience even more enjoyable.

  • 5Epic Experience!! ❤️🏔️

It is worth the travel out to Milford. If you are not booking a cruise in Milford you have no real business driving that long because there isn’t much to do there apart from the cruise. It was a very spacious port with three levels there is a down floor level a middle level and a top deck and on all levels you could sit outside and go outside and take photographs and videos. It was very informative and captain was also commentating as he sailed along and told us stuff that we wouldn’t have seen or found out unless he had told us about it. He was also quite humourous and made relaxed about smelling the hot fresh pies from the cafe/bar on board that he was craving for his lunch LOL XD. The cruise was 1 to 1.5 hours long but he wanted to kill a bit of time so ours took 2 to 2 1/2 hours which was epic. Would definitely do it again. PURE MILFORD ALL THE WAY! ❤️❤️

  • 5Amazing unique place

Milford Sound is an amazing and unique place, would be very hard not to have enjoyed this despite any other issue. We had great weather, great captain/guide, so couldn't complain at all. "Cafe" was small and crowded at most times, but with patience not an issue. Would go again on Pure Milford

  • 4It’s a long day from Queenstown

Milford Sound, or should I correctly say Fiord, was a pick up from Frankton Bus Interchange departing at 7:45am. Bus travel with knowledgeable guide throughout the many hours drive before catching the boat about 1:00pm ish. Commentary on board was also excellent. Saw seals and dolphins. Back on the bus at about 3:00pm ish, arriving at the interchange at about 7:30pm. CONS: Expected something more imaginable of lunch which was a chicken pie, packet of crisps, couple of biscuits, an apple and a nut bar.

About Fiordland & Milford Sound

Fiordland is the wild south-west corner of New Zealand's South Island, a land of deep fiords, rainforest and lakes, home to Milford Sound.

Fiordland National Park fills the south-western corner of the South Island, a mountainous wilderness of glacier-carved fiords, lakes and temperate rainforest listed by UNESCO as part of Te Wāhipounamu. Milford Sound, in Māori Piopiotahi, is a steep-sided fiord where Mitre Peak rises about 1,700 metres straight from the water. It is one of the wettest places on Earth, and in heavy rain temporary waterfalls appear down every wall.
