  • 2Mantova tour

We had difficulty connecting and listening to different sections of the tour. The creator used Google Maps to get from place to place (I use Apple Maps) which caused me to have to use the GPS for approximate location. It just didn’t work. The content of the information was good but too difficult to access.

  • 5This was a good tour to...

This was a good tour to use as I arrived in Mantova early in the morning, so did the tour before the Ducal Palace and Palazzo Te were open then circled back to them when they opened. I liked that you can go at your own pace. It was easy to use and navigate.

  • 5Nice!

Very easy to use. The independence allowed me to do as much or as little as I wanted and to pause when I needed. Good info if you're looking for a modern non-human interaction.

  • 5Great tour

This was extremely informative and helpful. We didn’t follow the guide exactly and missed a couple of stops, but only because I am disabled in the walking department and reached my end point!! We would definitely recommend this tour!

About Mantua

Mantua, in Lombardy, is a Renaissance city of palaces and squares enclosed by three lakes, the seat of the Gonzaga dukes.

Mantua sits on the plain of the River Mincio, which widens into three lakes along the north and east sides of the old city, and the water gives the place a quiet, misty mood. The Gonzaga family ruled for nearly four hundred years, and their Palazzo Ducale is a vast complex of courtyards that holds the Camera degli Sposi, a room frescoed by Andrea Mantegna with a painted oculus open to the sky. The old town and nearby Sabbioneta are listed by UNESCO.

Top-ranked sights in Mantua: Piazza delle Erbe, Ducale Palace (Palazzo Ducale Mantova), Te Palace (Palazzo Te).
