Itinerary
Lucca is a city located on the Serchio river, in the region of Tuscany. It is known for the well-preserved Renaissance walls surrounding its old town and its cobbled streets. Wide tree-lined avenues along the top of these imposing sixteenth and seventeenth-century walls are popular for walking and cycling.
Pisa is a city in Tuscany, Italy, best known for its iconic Leaning Tower.
Already tilted at the time of its completion in 1372, the 56-meter-high white marble cylinder is the bell tower of the Romanesque striated marble cathedral that stands next to it in Piazza dei Miracoli.

About Lucca
Lucca is a walled Tuscan city of Renaissance ramparts, narrow lanes and an oval piazza, and the birthplace of the composer Giacomo Puccini.
Lucca is enclosed by intact Renaissance walls, about four kilometres around, topped by a tree-lined promenade used for walking and cycling above the rooftops. Within them the medieval street plan survives, with Via Fillungo as its shopping spine and many towers and churches. The Piazza dell'Anfiteatro is an oval square built on the footprint of a Roman amphitheatre, and the Guinigi Tower grows holm oaks on its roof.
Top-ranked sights in Lucca: Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, Lucca Cathedral (Duomo di Lucca), Church of San Michele in Foro (Chiesa di San Michele in Foro).
