5Excellent mud pool and spa experience
The mud pool and thermal spa were great after a long day of a walking tour. Our skin felt rejuvenated and was glowing after.
5Amazing views and great relaxation
The geothermal walk was amazing to see, we’ve not seen anything like this before. The mud-baths afterwards were also a new experience and were well run by friendly staff. You didn’t feel rushed through and the facilities to change in were clean and spacious.
5Whole body experience, body treatment and mind soothing
We did the mud baths. Relaxing, soothing, warm, didn’t want to get out of the warm spa pools after the mud bath. This is a truly privileged space to visit and enjoy, among the volcanic space millions of years in the making. Staff were so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. If you think you’ll struggle with the smell of the sulphur just “get over it” my sis gagged in the first min of arriving then we just didn’t smell it. We hired towels and took our own cheap swimmers and binned them after. Just go do it if you can. We were there for 2 hours.
5Family fun in the mud!
Fun experience with the family, just a little expensive for the length of the activity. But definitely worth it!
5Nice experience

About Rotorua
Rotorua is a geothermal city on New Zealand's North Island, with steaming vents, bubbling mud, a lake and a strong Māori culture.
Rotorua sits on the shore of Lake Rotorua in the centre of the North Island, a city built on a volcanic plateau where steam rises from vents in parks and by the roadside and the smell of sulphur hangs in the air. The Te Arawa people have lived here for centuries, and their culture is visible in carved meeting houses, performances and the living village of Whakarewarewa, where residents cook food in natural steam.
Top-ranked sights in Rotorua: Lake Rotorua, Te Puia, Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland.
