Because the palace is quite large, it can be difficult for tourists to explore on their own — that’s why your guide is here to help!

  2. A private tour is truly worth it when we explore not only the north of the Han River but also the south — even if it takes a bit more time!

  3. Stroll down a charming traditional street filled with Korean pottery, artwork, antiques, and cozy Korean-style cafés. After lunch, we’ll relax and enjoy traditional Korean tea together — it’s said to help boost your energy for the rest of the walk! And don’t worry, the guide will treat everyone to tea.

    1.5 h

  4. (For the layover tour, it can be replaced in case of heavy traffic) This large and beautiful temple offers peace and history right in the heart of Seoul. We’ll walk around together as the guide explains its background and meaning. You’ll see colorful lanterns and lotus flowers along the way. On the drive there, we’ll pass through Gangnam, one of Seoul’s busiest downtown areas. It’s amazing to find such a calm and spiritual temple surrounded by the city’s most luxurious district. If you’re not particularly interested in temples, your guide can suggest an alternative stop.

    1 h

  5. (For the layover tour, it can be replaced in case of heavy traffic) This stunning library, famous on social media, holds over 50,000 books — a perfect place for beautiful photos. If you prefer, this stop can be replaced with a visit to a traditional Korean village instead.

    30 min

  6. We’ll visit a lively traditional market together and discover authentic Korean food and culture. Your guide will explain the history of the market and introduce you to local specialties. We’ll try some delicious snacks together — pancakes, street food, and more! And don’t miss the famous “knife noodle” vendor featured on Netflix, known as the “Netflix Antie.”

  7. Your guide will take you up the mountain to the tower, explain the history of the site, and help you take amazing pictures. • 5The best way to see Seoul and surrounding area on a layover!

My guide Soo made my visit to Seoul during a seamless and memorable. Soo expertly coordinated my pick up and met me inside the airport. I had no real destinations in mind that I wanted to visit, but Soo put together a great itinerary for me including: Changdeokgung Palace Bukchon Hanok Village Gwangjang Market Bugak Palgakjeong (Bugak Skyway Pavilion) It was so much to see during my 6 1/2 hour layover tour. It would not have been possible without Soo’s advanced planning including parking reservations and an efficient tour route to maximize site-seeing and minimize time wasted to find a parking spot. He provided a lot of interesting information and was fun and easy to talk to throughout the day. He helped me with non-English speaking market vendors and had great recommendations for lunch and coffee. I did the Incheon Free Airport Tour on the front end of my trip and this on my way back. While the Free tour was well run and interesting, I preferred this personal touch experience. The itinerary options are plenty with this private tour and I highly recommend!

  • 5Wonderful day in Seoul after disembarkation from cruise ship

Very nice and full day trip with moon. He came to get us straight from the cruise port and was very accommodating since he let us go to the hotel first to drop off all of our luggage. We did the cable car to the Seoul tower, the palace, the market (for lunch), Bukchon Hanok village, a temple and a nice shopping street. He rearranged the itinerary throughout the day when the crowds were so busy so we could enjoy each place without too many tourists. He also had an iPad to show us some pictures and give us more information at each location. Over all 10/10 experience, would recommend.

  • 5Awesome Tour REALLY is awesome!

I booked a Seoul city tour for my family (5 adults and my 10 month old baby), and it really made our trip to Korea WAY better! Pickup was timely and seamless, in a comfortable and clean vehicle. Hun took us to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Coex mall and the Starfield Library, Cheonggyecheon Stream and we finished the day off at Gwangjang Market. He explained in detail everything about the country’s history and responded all of our questions about Korea’s day to day life, its influence over culture, and even politics. He is VERY knowledgeable, friendly, funny, speaks perfect English, and also takes amazing photos (a great bonus). I am always looking for reliable, excellent tour operators and I can safely say I found the best one in all of Korea!

  • 5A Personalized & Private Tour with Moon

We had a wonderful and incredibly informative day with Moon! His knowledge of the history and culture behind the many locations we visited was truly impressive. From the very beginning, Moon was extremely communicative and helpful in planning our tour. He was thoughtful and considerate about making sure we got to see and experience the things that were most important to us. It was clear throughout the day that he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. His recommendations for food, tea, drinks, and shopping were all excellent, and his knowledge of every location we visited added so much to the day. The small van was also perfect for covering a lot of ground comfortably while still allowing us to enjoy each stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Moon and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Seoul. He was knowledgeable, personable, attentive, and a pleasure to spend the day with. We couldn't have asked for a better tour experience!

  • 5Layover excellence

Hon was an amazing guide. He took me to all the places I wanted and more we made it back to the airport in the nick of time, which is perfect for me as I hate hanging around. His service back-and-forth to the airport was priceless. Although Seoul traffic can be really stressful.

About Seoul

Royal palaces and hanok villages sit among glass towers, buzzing markets and late-night food streets in Seoul, South Korea's capital.

Five grand palaces from the Joseon dynasty grace the city, led by Gyeongbokgung, with its colourful changing of the guard, and Changdeokgung, whose Secret Garden is a serene escape. Between them, Bukchon Hanok Village preserves traditional tiled-roof houses on sloping lanes, and Insadong is known for tea houses, galleries and crafts.
