Muriwai Beach is a *black-sand surf beach* and surrounding area that is a popular recreational area for Aucklanders. It is located on the west coast of the Auckland Region in the North Island of New Zealand. The Muriwai Regional Park includes a nesting site for a large colony of gannets . You will walk around the beach to enjoy the black sand, and the cave when it's right at the low tide time.

Piha is New Zealand's most famous surf beach. It is situated on the west coast of the North Island, 40 kms from the city of Auckland.
