Highlights
The Arapiuns River Arua Waterfall is an unparalleled adventure for its lush banks of rock formations, its beautiful deserted beaches and long sand dunes that stretch for tens of meters. In this wonderful scenario are communities that manually produce their own crafts using straws seeds and roots for coloring and decoration, communities that create turtles, bees, fish and practice international ecotourism. Selvagem Tours spent months exploring and cultivating friendships in this region to provide our customers with a true and differentiated experience.

About Santarém
Santarém is a river port in Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon, where the clear green Tapajós meets the brown Amazon in a long, slow meeting of waters.
Santarém stands where the Tapajós flows into the Amazon, roughly midway between Belém and Manaus. Off the waterfront the two rivers run side by side for a stretch, the Tapajós clear and greenish-blue, the Amazon thick with brown sediment. A Jesuit mission of the seventeenth century grew into a river port, and the Tapajó people who gave the river its name are remembered in museums that show their finely modelled pottery.
