Experience the best of Pacific Harbour

Pacific Harbour was laid out in the 1970s as a resort estate on the southern shore of Viti Levu, between Suva and Sigatoka, with canals, a golf course and a stretch of beach. It has since become known as Fiji's adventure base, with a cluster of dive shops, cafés and small hotels along the Queens Road.

Beqa Lagoon, a ring of reef around Beqa island, is famous for shark dives where bull sharks and tiger sharks gather in a protected marine reserve. The island is home to the Sawau people, known for walking over heated stones, and some villages put on demonstrations. The Upper Navua River gorge, a steep-walled canyon hung with waterfalls, is explored by inflatable kayak.

West along the Coral Coast, the road leads to Sigatoka and its sand dunes. Meals centre on fresh fish, kokoda and roti, with fruit from roadside stalls and coconut drinks cracked open on the spot. The drier months from May to October bring the brightest days and calmest seas.
