3OK but not great
Nice island resort. Food good. As a day trip, all beach seating was in use when we got there. Sat at adults-only pool but noisy kids were using the pool. Boat to site crowed and indoor was very cold.
4Fun was to see the resort islands.
Nice day to get a feel for the resort islands. Beautiful scenery. Filling buffet lunch with many options. Very few chairs available on the beach. By the time the day trip arrives the overnight guests have taken all.the chairs. Snorkeling clarity will depend on the weather. There are definitely some pretty fish, but rough seas may make them harder to view. .
5Castaway island day trip
Great day out buffet lunch was great and good swimming pot
5Fabulous day trip - but bring cash for drinks!
We spent a really lovely day at this beautiful resort with lots of available activities! The island is picturesque, and as this is a day trip to a resort you get a different atmosphere and experience than visiting a beach club island like Malamala (which is also nice, but we preferred this to be honest!). The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, in particular with their beautiful sung welcome to the resort when you arrive and a farewell as you leave. The facilities are great - clean and well tended, with plentiful snorkelling and kayaking equipment, and the beach is very pleasant. Beach towels are available to rent for $5 each per day. The included buffet lunch quality was excellent, with clear labelling for people with dietary restrictions - a great range of fresh salads in particular. The only slight points to note are that no drinks are included in the ticket price, not even soft drinks or water, which seems a shame (we weren’t expecting to have to pay for soft drinks on top of the high ticket price), and also there is a transfer to and from the ferry by small boat, so it might be tricky if you have mobility issues. These issues aside however, we had a fantastic day and would recommend it!
5Clean, Comfortable & On Time
A reliable way to get between the islands. This August I booked the Castaway trip. The ferries are clean, well maintained, comfortable and air conditioned. They’ve always run on time when we’ve used them.
4Good for swimming
Best island for swimming. Good food. But no chairs or hammocks to sit on as they are attached to people staying at the resort. The real cast away island is across from it. But you can take a photo with the ball.

About Viti Levu
Viti Levu is the largest island in Fiji, home to the capital Suva, the airport town of Nadi, the Coral Coast and a mountainous green interior.
Viti Levu is the largest of Fiji's islands and home to most of its people. Nadi, in the drier west, has the international airport, while Suva, the capital and biggest city, sits on the wetter south-east coast with a harbour, a busy market and colonial-era buildings. Between them the Queens Road follows the Coral Coast, a stretch of fringing reef, beach resorts and small villages.
