Itinerary

  1. Did you know that Arges city was the first capital of Romania Country? Everyone knows that truly good, beautiful and durable things come only through sacrifice, which will become apparent when you reach the old town of Curtea de Arges. With a rich and eventful history, this is where you get to see the ruins of the Wallachian princely court, the 13th century Royal Church, as well the famous Arges Monastery, an important historical monument with an interesting, yet sad story, story that your private guide will share with you!

    15 min

  2. Did you know that one of the most spectacular roads in the world is Transfagarasan Highway? The incredible view and stunning scenery that this paved mountain road offers is indescribable; even the video segment featured on Top Gear, deeming it the most beautiful road in the world, barely does it justice. We stop here regarding the information for you, please don’t forget your camera, you’ll need it! ☺

    3 h

  3. Vidraru Dam is a dam in Romania. It was completed in 1966 on the Argeș River and creates Lake Vidraru. The arch dam was built with the primary purpose to produce hydroelectricity. The dam's height is 166 metres, the arch length 305 meters and it can store 465 million cubic metres of water. The reservoir has a total shoreline (perimeter) length of 28 km.

  4. If we were to put together a tour of the castles in Romania for Dracula fans and adventure lovers, Poenari Castle would have to be on the list, being an important Romanian tourist attraction. With this private trip you will have the perfect chance to discover the wildlife in Transylvania. For the moment the Fortress is under restauration, so we will not go to visit, we will just take some pictures of it!

    2 h

  5. Bâlea Lake (Romanian: Lacul Bâlea or Bâlea Lac, pronounced [ˈbɨle̯a]; Hungarian: Bilea-tó) is a glacier lake situated at an altitude of 2,034 m (6,673 ft) in the Făgăraș Mountains, in central Romania, near Cârțișoara, Sibiu County. There are two chalets opened all year round, a meteorological station, and a mountain rescue (Salvamont) station. The lake is accessible by car via the Transfăgărășan road during the summer, and the rest of the year, access is provided by a cable car from the "Bâlea Cascadă" chalet.

About Bucharest

Belle-époque boulevards, Orthodox churches and communist-era monuments meet around a busy old town in Bucharest, Romania's capital.

The vast Palace of the Parliament, among the largest administrative buildings in the world, dominates the centre as a striking legacy of the Ceaușescu era. Calea Victoriei, the grand avenue, leads past the domed Romanian Athenaeum concert hall, the former Royal Palace that houses the National Museum of Art, and Revolution Square, where the events of 1989 unfolded.

Top-ranked sights in Bucharest: Palace of Parliament (Palatul Parlamentului), Revolution Square (Piata Revolutiei), Arcul de Triumf (Arch of Triumph).
