Itinerary

  1. After a drive for about 2 hours and a half, we leave the car in the parking and continue walking to Cozana's Glade. A special place with positive energy, next to God's Bridge and Dionysius cell Torcatorul. Here lived a monk for 30 years, praying and working wool. Only one time per week he went to the village to sell the wool and take some food.

    20 min

  2. Next, we see the cave called Fundul Pesterii. Here are cave drawings dating back to 4000 BC as knives, arrows, lances, spears a.s.o. The cave is protected, a big metal fence stop visitors to enter and affect the historical drawings.

    20 min

  3. After a “walk” in the forest, we discover other places such as Joseph’s Church, carved in a huge rock. The church has preserved the initial aspect. Above the entrance, there is a fish, a paleo-Christian symbol. Agatonul Nou and Agatonul Vechi are at the highest point of the journey.

    20 min

  4. We begin the way back to the car, descending to Lacul Mistretilor (the Wild Pig’s Lake) and Fundătura (a big rock that becomes a hermitage).

About Bucharest

Belle-époque boulevards, Orthodox churches and communist-era monuments meet around a busy old town in Bucharest, Romania's capital.

The vast Palace of the Parliament, among the largest administrative buildings in the world, dominates the centre as a striking legacy of the Ceaușescu era. Calea Victoriei, the grand avenue, leads past the domed Romanian Athenaeum concert hall, the former Royal Palace that houses the National Museum of Art, and Revolution Square, where the events of 1989 unfolded.

Top-ranked sights in Bucharest: Palace of Parliament (Palatul Parlamentului), Revolution Square (Piata Revolutiei), Arcul de Triumf (Arch of Triumph).
