5A must do
We had a fantastic time. The preflight information was clear, the staff were helpful when I needed to change my booking ( I had pressed the wrong button). The pre flight information was clear. We were really lucky with the weather and the views defy description . The pilot was fantastic and informative and someone who really enjoys his work.
5Fabulous and worth every cent
We debated the value of taking this trip but can honestly say it was worth it. Really well organised. Super and efficient check in staff. We were well briefed and our ‘escort’ to and from the airfield was delightful. The flights itself was beautiful. We had great weather and our pilot James ensured we had a smooth ride and excellent view. It was great landing and good for getting some good photos.
5Very enjoyable
We were disappointed not to be able to have the snow landing but we still enjoyed our flight with the grass landing and the interesting talk with the pilot.

About Franz Josef & Fox Glacier
Franz Josef and Fox are two glaciers on New Zealand's West Coast that flow from the Southern Alps almost into temperate rainforest.
The Franz Josef and Fox glaciers descend from the Southern Alps through steep valleys into lowland rainforest on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island, ending only a few hundred metres above sea level. The two small townships, about twenty-five kilometres apart, sit in Westland Tai Poutini National Park, part of a UNESCO World Heritage area. Julius von Haast named Franz Josef in 1865 after the Austrian emperor.
