Na cidade zimbabuana de Victoria Falls, o Zambeze mergulha numa garganta estreita num rugido de espuma, névoa e arco-íris.

Conhecidas localmente como Mosi-oa-Tunya, o Fumo que Troveja, as cataratas estendem-se por bem mais de um quilómetro ao longo do rio Zambeze, e a espuma sobe tão alto que se vê de muito longe.
