5Great experience
It was so wet down there. Be prepared. Definitely need rain jacket and rain pants. Pretty cool to learn about how it was formed.
5Lava Tunnel Tour
The tour was an hour total, which included about 45 minutes of guide and 15 minutes of photography. The guide did a good job explaining how and what we were experiencing. Just also, it can be wet and cold down there.
5Great Tour & Great Guide
We stopped by and had a fantastic lava tunnel tour (sorry, we forgot the guides name but he was an Environmental Science grad). He was very professional and informative and we learned a lot about volcanology & how the tunnels were formed. The guide was very engaging and didn’t resort to the cheesy canned humor which other tours often do. An unexpected find was that gun being aged in barrels in the tunnel so of course we bought a collectors bottle to enjoy when we get home
5Walking into a dark tunnel
Excellent time in the tunnel, very informative guide. Make to to bring warm clothes and sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots, you will be walking over rocky terrain, not wheel chair accessible. They will supply helmet and flash light.
5Unique experience
This was a real cool experience. The tunnel is not very long and easy to navigate unless you have mobility issues. The colors in the tunnel were the highlight for us. You get a history lesson and a total dark experience too.
5A Great Experience
Totally enjoyed the Lava Cave Tunnel. Our guide was very informative with a sense of humor. We did have to do some walking on uneven surfaces but we were prepared. It was also cool in the cave. At one point, our guide turned off all the lights and we had total darkness. And you cannot see a thing. Great experience.

About Reykjavik
Reykjavik is the northernmost capital of any nation, a colourful, compact city of art and music that opens onto Iceland's volcanic landscapes.
The landmark Hallgrímskirkja church, its tower inspired by basalt columns, rises above streets of brightly painted houses. Down by the harbour, the glass-fronted Harpa concert hall shimmers on the water, and the Sun Voyager sculpture faces the sea toward Mount Esja. Laugavegur, the main shopping street, is lined with design shops, cafés and bars.
