Bryn showed up all bubbly and full of life and energy and our group followed suit. Each stop was unique and the opportunities to befriend others on the tour while trying all of the new cuisines was a delightful surprise. Highly recommend!

  • 5Reykjavík Food Tour

The food tour is a great way to learn about traditions, history, culture and people of Iceland. We visited a variety of cafes, restaurants and stalls around the city centre with our delightful and enthusiastic guide Heidi. She created a great atmosphere for our international group to relax, get to know each other a little and have fun trying all the local dishes. We had just the right amount of time at each venue, without being rushed and Heidi even followed up by email with a list of all the dishes we’d tried plus lots of useful hints and tips for restaurants, bars, bakeries, scooter hire and things to do. This tour was great value and we’d recommend it. Thank you Heidi.

  • 5Great way to start our Iceland adventure

I have done many food tours and they are always a great way to learn about a city and its culture. We did this tour the day we landed in Reykjavik and it was wonderful. We were greeted by our cheerful tour guide "Day" and he created a very memorable experience for us. I thought the price was high when we booked it but the portions were generous, the food was delicious and we quickly learned that food is very expensive in Iceland. It was money well spent. Thank you Dagur for giving us such a wonderful intro to Iceland.

  • 5Awesome food tour

Had a fantastic afternoon with Day, what an incredible and entertaining guide he is and all of the food tastings were wonderful with the exception of the fermented shark 😀 but you have to try it.

  • 5Reykjavik Food Tour Plus

Jenny, our guide, was excellent. She is very knowledgeable, fun, and was attentive to the needs of everyone in our group. She managed to coach us all through fermented shark and I will never eat that again but it is now a part of Iceland I will never forget. We ate many delicious dishes and discovered any great options for future meals. Book a trip early in your visit and you will have a better time in Reykjavik.

About Reykjavik

Reykjavik is the northernmost capital of any nation, a colourful, compact city of art and music that opens onto Iceland's volcanic landscapes.

The landmark Hallgrímskirkja church, its tower inspired by basalt columns, rises above streets of brightly painted houses. Down by the harbour, the glass-fronted Harpa concert hall shimmers on the water, and the Sun Voyager sculpture faces the sea toward Mount Esja. Laugavegur, the main shopping street, is lined with design shops, cafés and bars.

Top-ranked sights in Reykjavik: Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Harpa.
