  3. The wedge-shaped Turri Tower is one of the oldest clocks in the city.

    Passes by

  6. Many vintage chilean buildings line this hilly street, a popular site for a walking tour.

    30 min

Anyone wondering about whether these successes are important and well-remembered should spend some time looking up this quite impressive monument to the victory and its leaders. The monument also serves as a focal point of Sotomayor Square and can be seen from many of the surrounding hills.

  • 2Not the tour paid for

Tour provider picked us up at San Antonio Cruise Terminal. He then began to drive us towards the Maipo Valley. When we asked why were not going to Valparaiso he advised us that he was not contracted to do that and it was too far out of the way. He, instead, took us to the Unduraga Winery tour and toured us around Santiago before dropping us off at our hotel.

  • 1Incorrect itinerary and poor logistics

Extremely disappointed with this experience. The tour we ended up on was completely different from the one advertised and booked. Instead of our planned itinerary, the guide took us to Santiago and essentially did whatever they wanted. To make matters worse, there were no stops for lunch or even drinks throughout the day. The only saving grace was that it ended up being a private tour (just us), but that doesn't make up for missing the sights we actually paid to see.

  • 4Nice vehicle, great...

Nice vehicle, great driver, great guide - a relaxing day. The wine tasting was well worth it - a great winery.

  • 4santiago/valparaise tor

it provided a good view of Chile and, since we had to make the 50+ mile trip to board our cruise in San Antonio, it was a good idea. As a good general view of the area around Santiago and Valparaiso it was good. as an in depth tour of the area, there wasn't a great deal of time. I would do the same tour again if I was in our situation--it took a long bus trip and gave it some value

  • 5A wonderful day under the sun of Chile!

Patricio was an excellent driver, very friendly, courteous and provided us a lot of history of Chile.

  • 1Not to be Trusted

The people who run this tour are unfriendly and un-cooperative. We were being picked up on the tour from the cruise ship terminal, but they said they would drop us off at a hotel in town. I asked them what it would cost for a cab from the hotel to the ship and how long it would take to get back ...their nasty response was "I don't care about (giving you) the information you request" ...where do you want to be dropped off.!! Hardly someone who cares about their customers. And to make matters worse, we cancelled the tour one day after we made the booking, and 23 days before we scheduled to be on it, and they refused to give us our money back...despit the policy which clearly states "cancellations make within ONE DAY of the activity cannot be refunded. Stay away from this place.

About San Antonio

San Antonio is a port city on Chile's central coast, with a fishing cove, long beaches and Pablo Neruda's seaside house close by.

San Antonio stands at the mouth of the Maipo River on the Pacific coast of central Chile, west of Santiago. Its harbour is among the busiest in the country for cargo, but the old fishing cove still runs along the waterfront, where boats land their catch and pelicans and gulls wait for scraps. The town climbs the hills behind in streets of low houses.
