Your admission ticket allows for a guided tour of the lighthouse starting at your chosen late-morning time. Your guide will walk you through 800 years of the history of light-keeping at Hook Lighthouse, giving you insight to how its keepers lived throughout the ages. You will meet St Dubhan and William Marshall (the greatest Knight) on your journey, while your guide regales stories from the lighthouse's past. About Waterford
Waterford, founded by Vikings in 914, is among Ireland's oldest cities, a quayside town on the River Suir with medieval towers and a famous bread roll.
The Viking Triangle, a cluster of medieval streets by the quays, preserves the city's early core. Reginald's Tower, a round stone tower on the quay, stands on a Viking site and now holds a museum, and the Medieval Museum shows treasures found beneath the streets. The city has been known since the eighteenth century for hand-cut crystal.
