5Fun and safe!
Had a great time! Our guide Maritza was very thorough with instructions and watched over us very closely. Felt very safe during the trip. She was also a lot of fun! Taught us a lot about the glacier, and about Icelandic folklore. Would definitely use this company again.
5Sublime experience
I was skeptical of this being a good day due to the rain, wind, and cold temps. Instead, this turned into the biggest highlight of my Iceland trip. Fantastic outing with a great guide, and I get to tell everyone that I climbed a freaking glacier. What a refreshing, triumphant experience!
5An “Emerld City” experience from the Wizard of OZ
A little in the strenuous side, but a lifetime memorable experience! Our guide (from Slovakia) was fabulous!! Her patience, kindness, professionalism and respect for nature is incomparable. Her name escapes us, Marissa?
5Great hike and guide
We had a great experience with Guillermo as our guide. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and made the hike a lot of fun. He shared a lot of knowledge about Vatnajökull. We went during the summer, which is definitely a different experience from winter, so keep that in mind. There's a drive, then a short hike to the glacier, then you hike the glacier itself, and do it all in reverse to get back. Our tour was 4.5 hours from check-in until return.

We had a really nice time during the tour thanks to Marissa. She was a wonderful tour guide and explained us every detail of the glacier.
5Glacier hike
We had such a wonderful time on the glacier, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Marita (I really hope I am spelling your name correctly!). There were only five of us in the group, which made the whole experience feel very personal. Marita paid attention to every single one of us, not just making sure we were safe, but making sure we were actually enjoying the glacier. One little moment really stayed with me. She cared more about whether I was seeing the glacier clearly with my own eyes rather than through my camera. That says a lot about the kind of guide she is. She wanted us to truly experience the place, not just take photos of it. She was also incredibly patient and took such good care of my parents, especially my mother, who unfortunately fell twice on our way down. Marita was attentive, reassuring, and never made us feel rushed. This is exactly why I would highly recommend choosing a small-group glacier hike. That personal attention and human connection simply cannot be replaced by being one of many people in a big group. Thank you, Marita, for taking such good care of us and for making our glacier adventure something we will genuinely remember. ❤️

About Höfn
Höfn is a small fishing town in south-east Iceland, set between a glacier-fed lagoon and mountains, and known for its langoustine.
Höfn stands on a low peninsula in south-east Iceland, with the broad white dome of Vatnajökull, Europe's largest ice cap by volume, rising beyond the lagoon and a ring of glacier tongues. The town is built around a busy harbour, and its name simply means harbour. Black sand, birds and wide skies surround it, and the Ring Road passes through, more than 450 kilometres from Reykjavík.
