Itinerary
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a nature reserve and temple complex in Ubud, Bali, home to over 1260 long-tailed macaques.
Tegallalang Rice Terrace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bali, Indonesia that features terraced rice paddies and scenic views. It's also known as Tegallalang Rice Fields or Ubud Rice Fields.
The Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple is located in the village of Manukaya, near the town of Tampaksiring, not far from Ubud, in the Gianyar Regency, the cultural heart of Bali. The temple is situated just below the Presidential Palace of Tampaksiring. Built-in 1957 by Indonesia's first president, Soekarno, the beautifully built palace itself is an important landmark of the island and the country. Together with the Presidential Palace, the Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple provides some of the most fascinating views you will ever see. As a petirtaan or bathing center, Tirta Empul is quite a large temple complex and it takes at least 30 minutes to an hour to explore the entire site. Just as at other temples and sacred sites around the island, you will need to put on a 'sarong' before entering the premises. The sarongs are available at the temple's entrance and can be rented for a small donation.

5Go early, Bali traffic is...
Go early, Bali traffic is horrendous. The monkeys were fun and the rice paddies amazing. It’s a shame about the modern version of the ancient terraces. The Temple very spiritual.
5Day trip in Ubud, Bali.
Esa was very professional tour guide and mad me satisfied during my day trip in Ubud premises. I am sure I will hire him again when I visit Bali again.
5Amazing half day trip in Bali with Esa
Esa has done a wonderful job today guiding our private tour, he is very knowledgeable, kind , respectful and fun to explore Bali with. My husband and I really enjoyed our half day trip with him and we will definitely do it again. Very highly recommend.
5Esa is the best
Esa went above and beyond in this experience. Starting with the communication the day before then the pick up then the tour around. Between monkey forest , rice terrace the coffe plantation and the temple he explained everything in the best way it could be. He took us to the swing experience and the wood carving then the Silberman places. We couldn’t ask for more. Very highly recommended 😊
5An amazing Daybin Bali!
We had an incredible private day trip in Bali with Esa. He was so kind and welcoming, and he shared so much about the local culture and the places we visited. His knowledge made the day feel personal and gave us a deeper appreciation for Bali. We’re so grateful for the time we spent with him and would recommend him to anyone visiting the island!
5Fun, well organized and well paced tour of Ubud’s major sites
This was a great, well balanced and paced tour taking in the highlights of the Ubud region in Bali. The half day tour included four diversified locations, starting with the Monkey Forest right at feeding time, followed by the majestic rice terraces. We then continued to a local and serene Ubud temple finishing with a visit to a coffee plantation complete with free tastings of 14 varieties of coffee and tea. We then stopped for lunch at an atmospheric restaurant overlooking rice fields. The tour company, Bali Local Host, was very easy to communicate with and my assigned tour guide, Esa, was excellent. He is youthful and cheerful, always with a smile, and very knowledgeable about Bali and all the locations we visited. He speaks excellent English and is fun and easy to talk to. I would love to have Esa as my guide on any future tour. The tour began at 8am from my hotel in Seminyak and I was dropped off at about 2.30pm, leaving the afternoon free to relax and explore. This was the perfect schedule for my plans. I highly recommend booking this tour if you plan on visiting Bali and would like a cultural experience.

About Kuta
Kuta is Bali's original beach town, a lively stretch of surf, sunsets, shopping and nightlife just a short ride from the island's airport.
Kuta Beach runs north in a long arc of sand toward Legian and Seminyak, with steady waves that have made it a classic place to learn to surf. In the evening, crowds gather on the sand to watch the sun sink into the Indian Ocean, and the beachfront promenade is lined with cafés and stalls.
Top-ranked sights in Kuta: Kuta Beach (Pantai Kuta), Upside Down World.
