The Gros Piton Hike is a challenging yet rewarding hike done on the island. It is not for the faint of heart or for persons who are out of shape. Throughout the hike you will have to get past rocks and boulders as you navigate to the top. Along the way there are panoramic viewpoints and rest points to catch a breather and also an opportunity to take some photos. Itinerary
Soufriere area consists of the island's main attractions and tourist sites. Pass through the town area, seeing its cathedral, town's square and other landmarks.
Begin your climb of St Lucia's most iconic peak, Gros Piton at its base. You will be greeted and paired off with a friendly and trained guide who will be with you throughout the hike. This hike will definitely get your adrenaline pumping as you climb over stones, follow the trail through forested points and make your way to the top. There is a half way point where to get a gorgeous view of the nearby town and ocean then another view point to the top. Earn your bragging rights of making it to the top and for those who are more competitive, ask your guide about the fastest time up and put yourself to the test!

About Soufrière
Soufrière, on St Lucia's south-west coast, is a small colonial-era town in the shadow of the twin Pitons, with volcanic springs and black-sand beaches.
Soufrière is St Lucia's old French capital, founded in the eighteenth century and set on a bay under steep green peaks. The Pitons, two steep volcanic spires, Gros Piton and Petit Piton, rise straight from the sea to the south of the town and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fishing boats, a waterfront and a market give the town an easy pace.
