More than a sightseeing tour, this is a chance to discover Belfast through the people who know it best, hearing local stories and perspectives that bring the city’s complex past and remarkable transformation to life. The experience covers the history and legacy of the Troubles, so some topics may be sensitive in nature.

Arriving at approximately 12:40pm, you'll have 30 minutes to explore the spectacular ruins of Dunluce Castle, with admission included. Perched dramatically on cliffs overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean, Dunluce Castle dates back over 500 years and is one of the most photographed locations on the Causeway Coast. Fans of Game of Thrones may recognise Dunluce Castle as the inspiration for House Greyjoy's stronghold, Pyke.
Departing Dunluce Castle, we continue along the spectacular Causeway Coastal Route, one of the most scenic drives in Ireland. Along the way, we'll pass dramatic coastal landscapes and picturesque villages. Our next stop is the iconic Giant's Causeway, arriving at approximately 1:30pm. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was formed over 60 million years ago by volcanic activity and is famous for its 40,000 interlocking basalt columns. During our 2 hour 15 minute visit, you'll have plenty of time to explore the site at your own pace. Discover famous landmarks such as the Giant's Boot, the Wishing Chair, and the Organ. Lunch is not included, however there are food and refreshment options available at a pub nearby. Afterwards, sit back and relax on the journey back to Dublin. A 20-minute comfort stop is usually made in Castlebellingham at approximately 6:45pm before arriving back in Dublin at around 8:00pm.
Arrival back in Dublin is scheduled for approximately 8:00pm on D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, in the heart of the city centre. 5Belfast, Dunluce & Giants Causeway
Took this tour before our week trip started. Wonderful day trip giving history during different periods of Ireland. Bus driver, Ernie, and tour guide, Una, were so knowledgeable about the turmoil of Northern Ireland because they lived through it, as well as our Black Cab driver. Dunluce ruin was easy to access and provided amazing views. Giants Causeway shouldn’t be missed. There’s a bus that can take you to and from the basalt site if you prefer not to hike there or back! More beautiful views of the ocean. Glad we took the time to discover this part of Ireland and had the best people to be our guides.
5great history and view
Love the black cab experience in Belfast, good to hear the history from local’s point of view. And the castle and Giant’s causeway, just stunning.
5Fun tour
Guide ad awesome and entertaining for the long journey to Belfast. Black Tire tour was interesting because we were not familiar with that history. We had a catholic driver who gave his perspective of the Troubles. Would be helpful to have a Protestant next time because not sure everything we heard was accurate - need to do internet search. But the tour still was great.
5It’s a long day, but well...

5Great Excursion
This was a great excursion and a great experience. I would definitely recommend this to others. So much history to soak in, it’s amazing and absolutely stunning.
5Thanks Dave and Paolo!
Guide Dave shared the history with humor and ease. Also very helpful with suggestions of other attractions to see (and avoid). Our driver, Paolo was easygoing and safe. We had 21 year olds and a 78 year old in our party and everyone enjoyed the trip. Would highly recommend!
