Itinerary
The Slea Head Drive is a true highlight of the Dingle Peninsula, offering one of the most picturesque coastal routes in Ireland. As we wind our way along this spectacular drive, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean, towering cliffs, and the Blasket Islands. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to stop at various points of interest, including the ancient stone forts and the dramatic coastline.
Step back in time as we explore the ancient Beehive Huts, a fascinating relic of early Christian settlement. These stone structures, built without mortar, date back over 1,000 years. Located along the peninsula’s western edge, they provide an awe-inspiring glimpse into the island’s past, set against the backdrop of dramatic cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean.
Discover the fascinating history of the Blasket Islands, a group of rugged islands off the western coast of Dingle. Once home to a vibrant community of Irish-speaking fishermen, the Blaskets are now a symbol of Ireland's rich cultural heritage. The Blasket Islands Visitor Centre provides an insight into the lives of the islanders, their traditions, and their eventual evacuation in the 1950s
Prepare for breathtaking panoramic views as we ascend Conor Pass, the highest mountain pass in Ireland. From here, you’ll see sweeping vistas of the peninsula’s rolling hills, jagged cliffs, and crystal-clear lakes. The pass offers one of the most scenic drives in the country, where the beauty of the land unfolds before you in every direction.

About Killarney
Killarney is a small County Kerry town beside a national park of lakes, mountains and old woodland, and the usual start of the Ring of Kerry.
Killarney National Park, on the town's doorstep, takes in three lakes and ancient oak and yew woods, with the MacGillycuddy's Reeks rising to the west, where Carrauntoohil is the highest mountain in Ireland. Muckross House is a Victorian mansion with gardens on a lake shore, Muckross Abbey is a ruined friary, Ross Castle stands on the water, and Torc Waterfall drops through the woods. The park shelters Ireland's only native herd of red deer.
