Itinerary
We leave Bridge Street Tourist Office, (next to St Patrick's Bridge) Cork City at 8.30am.
We make our way towards County Kerry and the town of Killarney. Here we cross the county bounds at the very top of the Cork and Kerry mountains famed in the song "Whiskey in the Jar". We ease our way towards Killarney with magnificent views of Ireland's highest mountain Carrauntoohil
Regularly voted the most beautiful town in Ireland, Killarney is the gateway to both Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Nestled in the valley beneath Ireland's highest mountain range, and surrounded by lakes Killarney boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. Lined with lovely shops, pubs and traditional arts and crafts stores, this true gem is a must see for every traveler who visits our motherland.
Inch Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Ireland, and stretches for 3 miles facing the Atlantic ocean and is renowned as a surfing and fishing location. Its golden sands became well known on the big screen as it has featured in many movies, most notably Ryan's Daughter and Playboy of Western World which was entirely filmed along its shoreline.
Slea Head drive on the Wild Altanic Way is considered by many photographic magazines as the most beautiful peninsula in the world, and was recently voted the number one area for dramatic shots. The road winds around through Gaelic speaking Corca Dhuibhne beginning at Ventry beach passing by the 4000 year old beehive huts and onwards to Dunquin with amazing views of the great Blasket Island and the Sleeping Giant. The peninsula has fabulous beaches in Coonenoole and Clogherhead where the film Far and Away was shot. We drive through the beautiful village of Ballyferriter.
Next we make a stop in Dingle Village. Charming Gaelic speaking fishing village famed in many films like Far and Away and Ryan's Daughter, Dingle is celebrated for having most pubs in Ireland for a town of its size, 52 pubs and 2000 people. We cannot forget Dingle's most famous resident, Fungi the Dolphin.
Following a fun-filled day on the Dingle Penninsula, we make our way back over the mountains to Cork, where we aim to arrive back at approx 7 pm.

5Long but but beautiful day. So much to see on the Dingle Peninsula.
Lovely trip that covered a lot of ground. We very much enjoyed all the sight. The logistics of changing buses in Killary to head out the coast was a bit awkward. You are placed near a mall/bus station for an hour. Not much to see there. There is an option to ride a carriage into the park for a fee. That should be announced or described in the brochure. We weren’t sure what to do so stayed in the mall. Not an inviting spot. (Same switch on the way back - not as long). After that once on the next bus it was smooth sailing for a long day. The scenery and stopping points were beautiful. Lunch wasn’t until 2;30 so plan ahead with snacks. Sleep, inch beach, town of dingle, and more. Well worth letting someone else do the driving. The “long and winding road” comes to mind.
5Highly recommended!
Well organised trip. Excellent views, stops at every nice spot beautiful country to see, film locations. Good shopping
5Girl’s Adventure!
Three of us went on the tour and it was fantastic! DJ, our tour guide did a great job providing history combined with humor! Each stop provided a great opportunity for pictures and creating memories! Harrington’s in Dingle for lunch was amazing!
5Great trip
We had a great time on our tour and loved the chance to get to the west side of Ireland without the stress of driving ourselves.
4The itinerary and drive...
The itinerary and drive was fine. Wish we had been alerted to the optional jaunty car ride in Killarney and the preference for cash. The driver was very personable and I imagine the commentary was informative and entertaining. But the inconsistent use of a microphone and the rapid speech made most of what was said incomprehensible to me and detracted from my enjoyment of the trip.
5Amazing Day
Such a beautiful place to visit.. wish we had more time actually in dingle, Lots of time on the bus but the views are spectacular!!! The beehive and baby lambs were awesome... this was our 2nd time doing this tour and I'd definately do it again... it's a long day, but totally worth it.

Cork is Ireland's second city, a river town of steep lanes, a covered market, church bells and a strong food reputation.
Cork centres on an island in the River Lee, with channels of water, bridges and a mix of Georgian streets and Victorian shopfronts. The English Market, a covered food hall that dates to 1788, sells fish, cheese, spiced beef and baked goods. St Anne's Shandon has a tower topped by a golden salmon, and visitors can ring its bells. St Fin Barre's Cathedral rises in the French Gothic style.
