  • 5The highlight of our trip to Dingle!

I had read many reviews before selecting this particular tour. Most of them sang the praises of Gillian, one of the tour guides. She turned out to be our guide as well, and she was incredible. Very personable, flexible, knowledgeable and a great driver! The roads here on the peninsula are quite narrow in places, but she navigated them like a pro. With my husband and I both free to look out the windows instead of having to follow a map or watch out for the narrow sections in the road, it was a wonderful experience. Gillian told us so many stories about the local landscape, history and even the flora & fauna. We felt right at home with her immediately, and had such a good time together. I HIGHLY recommend both the tour and Gillian as a tour guide. Thank you for a wonderful experience - it was well worth the money we spent!

  • 5Day with Gillian from Dingle to Galway

As 2 senior women, we needed a driver tour guide from Dingle to Galway and we found Gillian who was the most expert, kind, interesting, and showed us the hidden gems along the way despite intermittent drizzle. We had lunch together en route as she provided door-to-door service in her comfortable car. Her sunshine smile, gentle wit and wisdom, and generosity of spirit made her our favorite guide out of the 3 exceptional ones we experienced. Highly recommended! Thank you, Gillian!

  • 5Fantastic, contextualized, and fun tour of Dingle Peninsula

Our full-day Slea Head Tour with Gillian was truly fantastic. It was a standout day in my family's trip to Ireland. She drove us to so many amazing sights while providing us with plenty of cultural and personal context to help us understand more than we ever expected about Irish life and history. She tailored the experience to our interests, providing more detail and conversation on areas of interest and also letting us explore quietly on our own where we wished. Coumeenoole Beach was a sight to behold, as were the hillside fort, beehive huts, and gorgeous seaside views. Thank you Gillian!

  • 5Perfect Day on the Dingle Peninsula with Gillian

Our day with Gillian touring the Dingle Peninsula was the highlight of our Ireland trip. She is delightful and knowledgeable. We saw spectacular landscapes and seascapes and important cultural sites, with Gillian bringing it all to life, providing historical context and sharing her own unique personal perspective. As she drove, she tailored our tour based on our conversations. We hit it off from the first moment. The ride was comfortable. With an expert driver, we were able to relax and experience the breathtaking scenery: The Connor Pass, Slea Head, Dunquin Pier. We think that our time on Coumeenoole Beach was our favorite of the day. What a gorgeous place. It was magical. And Hold-a-baby-lamb was fun.

  • 5Fun afternoon seeing the Dingle Peninsula

Gillian did a great job with our tour. She was very knowledgeable and personable, pulling over many times to show us less known sites that were just as interesting as the big sites on every tour guide. We had a very pleasant afternoon

About Dingle

Dingle is a brightly painted harbour town on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, with music pubs, Irish-speaking villages and wild Atlantic scenery.

Dingle, An Daingean in Irish, is a small fishing harbour on the Dingle Peninsula in the south-west of Ireland, in a district where Irish is still spoken in daily life. Its streets of painted shopfronts run up from the harbour, and in the evenings the pubs fill with traditional music sessions. Fishing boats still unload at the pier, and seafood is the town's trade.
