2Just okay
Lots of history, historical names and timelines, we thought too much. The buildings and the information about where the river used to flow were interesting. More talk about types of architecture would have been good. It would have been nice if we were provided a map, because at the end of the tour, we really didn’t know where we went or where we were at the end. There were no suggestions for food, music or beverages.
5Informative and relaxed
It was a nice easy ramble full of information and history. I enjoyed all aspects of the tour. I wish we would have done it when we arrived but alas that was late Saturday and no tours in a Sunday
5A great introduction to Cork
Mary was a wonderful guide- full of interesting facts and a great sense of humour and connection to Cork and it’s history.
5Excellent Eddie.
Our guide Eddie was just superb. His level of knowledge was fantastic and his whole demeanour and approach to our group was friendly and welcoming. We have undertake tours in many cities and this was the very best.
5The most history packed into ~ 75 minutes that I ever experienced or enjoyed. Eddie is a master storyteller and saint!
Eddie is very knowledgeable, charismatic and deeply engaged throughout the walking tour. Pace and time at each stop was very appropriate for the traveling group (skewed older, 60's 70's). We already loved Cork city and this enriched and deepened our hearts for this special city. I'd love to take another tour of the city and showcase different landmarks and historical notoriety.
5Good tour

About Cork
Cork is Ireland's second city, a river town of steep lanes, a covered market, church bells and a strong food reputation.
Cork centres on an island in the River Lee, with channels of water, bridges and a mix of Georgian streets and Victorian shopfronts. The English Market, a covered food hall that dates to 1788, sells fish, cheese, spiced beef and baked goods. St Anne's Shandon has a tower topped by a golden salmon, and visitors can ring its bells. St Fin Barre's Cathedral rises in the French Gothic style.
Top-ranked sights in Cork: Blarney Stone, Kinsale, The English Market.
