Itinerary
We will begin the tour leaving the city of Uyuni at 10:30 a.m. to the Uyuni Salt Flat (full day trip). on the way, we will visit the “Train Graveyard” of Uyuni.
afterward, we will visit the small settlement of Colchani (salt miners' workshops), where we will see handicrafts made of salt and textile art made of llamas and alpacas. We will take photos while we tour the vast expanse of white salt. Then, visit “Ojos de Agua Salada”, where water bubbles through the salt plains, a flag yard, and the famous Dakar statue.
Next, hike up to “Incahuasi Island” to see tall Cactus and rock formations made of petrified coral ( Make sure to take photographs from a different perspective). Then we will enjoy lunch. We will take time to organize the group and be able to take photos with distorted perspectives, thanks to the soft reflection of the Uyuni Salt Flat. Next, we will go to a spacious area to live a unique experience appreciating a beautiful sunset over the salt flats. After this, we will be on our way to Uyuni City where our tour will end around 7:30 pm. About Uyuni
Uyuni is a high, dusty town on Bolivia's southern altiplano, the starting point for crossings of the vast white Salar de Uyuni salt flat.
Uyuni stands at about 3,650 metres on the southern Altiplano, a wind-swept railway town of wide streets and low buildings. Its train cemetery, a few kilometres out on the plain, holds rusting steam locomotives and carriages left from the days when British-built railways carried minerals to the Pacific. The town is the main base for visits to the Salar de Uyuni.
Top-ranked sights in Uyuni: Train Cemetery (Cementerio de Trenes), Tunupa Volcano.
