Highlights

Starting with a one-hour drive from Rovaniemi to our remote family farm, you leave the busy town behind and arrive in a place where peace and privacy are guaranteed. The snowmobile-pulled sleigh ride itself is both exciting and comfortable, with soft reindeer hides keeping you warm as you glide through untouched forests and climb up to the fell. At the top, a campfire is lit and traditional Finnish coffee is brewed over the flames, creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and deeply authentic. What makes this tour truly special is the small group setting and the personal connection to local life—our family welcomes you as a guest, not just a visitor. You’ll hear stories, experience traditions, and enjoy the wilderness in a way that is intimate, unhurried, and far removed from mass tourism. That’s what makes this adventure one of the most genuine and memorable ways to experience Lapland.

About Rovaniemi

Rovaniemi, on the edge of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, is a river city known for Santa Claus Village, northern lights, reindeer and deep snow.

Rovaniemi is the capital of Finnish Lapland, set where the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki rivers join, just south of the Arctic Circle. The town was rebuilt after being burnt in the Second World War, and its street plan, drawn by the architect Alvar Aalto, is said to echo a reindeer's antlers. Arktikum, a museum and science centre, tells the story of life in the Arctic, and a lit footbridge known as the Lumberjack's Candle crosses the river.
