Koper is the starting point for your day tour. You will pass the old town before heading to the motorway towards Ljubljana City.
Your 75minutes drive towards Ljubljana will be used for your guides introduction of Slovenia and Ljubljana City before finally reaching the destination. On the way there will be a restroom stop.
Upon your arrival to the Ljubljana City destination, you will be taken for a walking tour of the city centre. Koper, on Slovenia's short Adriatic coast, is a port town with a Venetian-style old centre, close to salt pans, Istrian hills and Trieste.
Koper stands on Slovenia's small stretch of the Adriatic, on the northern side of the Istrian peninsula, as a working port with a compact old town. For centuries it was a Venetian possession called Capodistria, and its main square, Tito Square, is framed by the Praetorian Palace, the loggia and the cathedral, whose tower can be climbed for a view of the bay. The cathedral holds a painting by Carpaccio.
