Itinerary
Sinharaja Rainforest is a botanical paradise, home to a remarkable diversity of plant species. It boasts over 1,000 endemic tree species, many of which are rare and endangered. The forest canopy is dominated by towering trees such as dipterocarps, mesua, and ironwood. Sinharaja’s fauna is not only ecologically important but also represents a significant part of Sri Lanka’s natural heritage. The dense, untouched forest provides a crucial sanctuary for these species, many of which are endemic or endangered, making it a vital conservation area.

About Galle
Galle is a southern Sri Lankan port city whose Dutch-era fort, with ramparts above the sea, shelters cafés, churches and old merchant houses.
Galle Fort was started by the Portuguese in the late sixteenth century and extensively built by the Dutch in the seventeenth, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside its thick sea walls, people still live and work among Dutch-style houses, mosques, churches and small galleries. A circuit of the ramparts at sunset, passing the lighthouse and the clock tower, is the favourite local walk.
